Guidelines for contest:
Submit your best poetry (up to five poems) to with the subject title "Contest submission." Submissions without that subject heading will only be considered for general submissions, not the contest. Contest entry fee is $3, submittable via Pay Pal (please see details below).
Please copy and paste poems directly into the body of your email submission (no attachments) and also include the receipt number in the first paragraph of the email. All entries will be considered for our next volume.
The first-place winner will receive $100 cash prize and special recognition in the next volume.There will also be a second place prize of $40 and a third place prize of $25. The contest deadline is May 1, 2016.

Congratulations to the winners of the first annual These Fragile Lilacs Poetry Prize! (December 2016)
Congratulations to the winner of our first annual These Fragile Lilacs Poetry Prize, Kelli Allen, for her poem "Trishula could wend downward into the belly." Kelli's poem will also be the featured poem in our Women's Voices Anthology, which will be published in print in a few months. In addition to a cash prize of $25, Kelli will also receive three free copies of the anthology.
Congratulations also to our two runners-up, Shahe Mankerian and Eliza Callard. Shahe's poem "Brioches in Beirut," will be the featured poem in our next volume of These Fragile Lilacs, which will be available electronically in the next few weeks. Eliza's poem "Parlez-vous...?" will be a featured poem in our Women's Voices Anthology.
